The charity is to support Children who are born with genetic disorders.
There are
between 4,000 and 6,000 diagnosed genetic disorders.
It is estimated
that one in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder and therefore 30,000
babies and children are newly diagnosed in the UK each year.
Some genetic
disorders are apparent at birth while others are diagnosed at different stages
throughout childhood, and sometimes into adulthood.
Sidhil staff wore their jeans or an item of denim clothing to support the charity and donated a minimum of £1.00
We also supplied a selection of blue food to sell throughout the day. This included Stilton blue cheese and crackers, blueberry jam and scones , blueberry muffins, blueberry pie, cupcakes with blue icing and this list of goodies continues. Safe to say all food was sold!!
Thank you again to all who donated and we look forward to taking part in the event next year.
